Testing the electromagnetic geophysical methods: successful in-shore and offshore survey in the Bouillante area (Guadeloupe) !

Make a deep geothermal exploration in the Caribbean a success story is closely linked to the ability to overcome challenges due to the specific constraints (uneven terrain, abundant vegetation, the nearby sea, heavy urbanisation...). The BRGM has successfully deployed an electro-magnetic survey with current injection to limit the urban-noise impact on the measurements, slight sensors, well adapted to the uneven terrain and to the abundant vegetation, and, for the first time, the BRGM has tackled the nearby-sea barrier issue by performing offshore measurements !
